Advanced Career Track 

Applications are open!

Applications are now open for NACRO’s Professional Education Committee’s Advanced Career Track Pre-Conference Seminar. This educational programming is specifically designed for NACRO members with 10+ years of experience in the corporate relations arena. 

The program will be held in person Tuesday, July 14 from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm for those that applied and were accepted.

NACRO members are invited to apply through the link below, now through May 8th.

Spots are limited and applications may close early if the session is at capacity. Accepted applicants will be notified no later than May 20th. The cost for accepted applicants for this session is $50, and the registration link will be provided. 

Content Includes:

• A facilitated workshop led by Damon Dunn: Locked In: The 360 Leader – a high-impact executive education program designed specifically for Corporate Relations Officers. Over 120 intensive minutes, participants develop the core competencies of multidirectional strategic leadership.

• Discussion of the benefits and challenges to a front door model, how to operationalize the essential elements when facing internal barriers, and the day-to-day realities of corporate relations work. 

2025 cohort members may re-apply for acceptance for this year’s programming. 

Accepted Attendees are generally characterized by the following criteria:

• 10+ years in an external-facing university role

• 5+ years in a senior role, managing a team in an academic environment with corporate engagement work or serving as the senior leader solely responsible for a unit

• Responsible for setting the corporate strategy for your unit or your institution

• Focusing on large-scale comprehensive partnerships, Holistic Proposals

• Orchestrate complex multifaceted deals; frequently navigate intricate cross-disciplinary relationships and conversations

•  Actively managing a portfolio of top corporate partners

•  Consistent interaction with institutional leaders (i.e. president, vice presidents, deans)
